As a client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services, you are entitled to the following:

  • Receive treatment with respect, courtesy, and dignity, regardless of your social status, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, political belief, mental health, or any disabilities you may have
  • Obtain a clear explanation of the services you will receive and who will provide them
  • Make decisions regarding the services or support you receive, including the right to decline or discontinue them
  • Be involved and informed in the planning of your care
  • Enjoy a secure and safe environment
  • Have your privacy and confidentiality safeguarded
  • Raise concerns and suggest changes without fear of retaliation, coercion, discrimination, or interference

Responsibilities as a Client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services

As a client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services, it is your responsibility to:

  • Provide consent for us to determine and authorize services
  • Notify us of any changes in your situation that may impact your goals
  • Show respect and consideration to all staff, volunteers, clients, and visitors
  • Provide adequate information to allow staff to provide appropriate services, advice, and care
  • Participate in decisions regarding your care and ask for clarification if you are unsure about something
  • Arrive on time for appointments
  • Adhere to requests to wear a mask
  • Respect the premises and property of the Centre
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment by reporting any unsafe conditions to staff
